9th September 2010 Hugh Kelly has been appointed to the Board of Directors and Council of the Irish Exporters Association (www.irishexporters.ie). In welcoming Hugh to the Board, outgoing President, Mr Liam Shanahan (www.shanahaneng.ie) commented that, coming from the SME sector, Hugh’s perspective would be of great benefit to the Association.
At the reception to welcome Hugh Kelly onto the board of the Irish Exporters Association, John Whelan chief executive of the IEA stated ''the challenge today for exporters seeking new markets is to find the specific channel to best suit the company as well as the product or service. There is no one-size fits all, solutions are incremental and bottom-up, and they have to be tailored to the needs of the business. Hugh brings this perspective to the Association, and we look forward to his advice and assistance in supporting the export drive.''
