Associated Marketing Ltd. was established in Dublin in 1970 by C Denis Kelly. The company is now run by Hugh C Kelly and has expanded globally (into the Middle East, South-East Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the US) but it remains proudly, 100% Irish-owned.

The company offers marketing, sales and debtor management services to client product manufacturers and distributors who are based in Ireland and overseas, in home and international markets.

The company’s first clients were furniture manufacturers but, in 1974, the company began marketing Tretford cord carpet on behalf of its manufacturer, Waterford Carpets Ltd. Tretford remains the company’s largest and most successful client brand.

In 2000, AML Contract Carpets Ltd. was established as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Associated Marketing Ltd. to handle its flooring businesses. Its client manufacturers had expanded to include some of the world’s leading flooring manufacturers. Today these include Mohawk Industries Inc., J&J Industries, Domo NV to name but a few.

In 2006, in memory of the company’s recently-deceased founder, the company launched an Irish brand of premium, contract carpet tiles. The brand name chosen was A-Line, the brand under which the company had sold its hugely successful Irish furniture in the 1970s. The company also launched A-Mats, its own Irish brand of entrance matting systems.

In 2007, AML Contract Carpets Ltd. changed its name to AML Architectural Products Ltd. in recognition of the broader range of interior contract products that it now markets:
